Who is our inspiration?

Patch Adams (MD) is an international healer who promotes love, laughter and friendship everywhere he goes. He is at once a doctor, a clown and an activist. “I am looking to build a world where all are
cared for in a healthy nature”. Patch is helping to midwife a world away from a value system of money and power towards a value system based on compassion and generosity. Watching him work is both invigorating and exciting. Patch will make you want to put on a clown nose and join him.
He’s infectious !!!

What is the Gesundheit! Institute?

In GESUNDHEIT!, fun and lovecan be medicine. The Gesunheit Institute (GI) started as a hospital model to show that you can eliminate problems in health care delivery at a fraction of the cost. GI’s vision tells us that the health of an individual is intimately interconnected with family, community and cultural dynamics. GI began its global outreach program in 1984 and in 1991 it began its educational wing, “School for Designing a Society”.

Who Am I

I am the Fun-Raising clown! I joined The Gesundheit! Institute community in 2006 during a trip to Lima Peru. Since then I have been to some of the most impoverished places in the world bringing people together in laughter, love and celebration. I want to see this institution design health care and educational systems throughout the world.
